As we were leaving Magee Marsh and headed back to the campgrounds, I caught a glimpse of something that was not the "typical" Canada Geese on the causeway road.
After asking David to stop and back up, I was able to see that there were two Sandhill Cranes in deep grass on the water's edge. I hopped out of the van and watched and soon, the colt appeared!

Sandhill Cranes and Colt
Green Heron Fishing
A Green Heron was fishing for tadpoles on the east end of the Magee Marsh boardwalk. He was beautiful in the morning light!
Golden Winged Warbler
One of the highlights of our annual Magee Marsh trip was viewing and photographing a male Golden Winged Warbler. It was at the East Entrance to the boardwalk and it entertained crowds for an hour or so.
