Great Blue Heron with More Than He Could Handle!

I was watching this Great Blue Heron fish today and was surprised to see him dive, then run up to the top of the ridge. Later, while checking my pics, I saw that he actually grabbed a rock and a fish. He apparently realized that if he dropped the rock, he's lose the fish too, so he went to higher ground to keep his catch. Clever boy!!!

Webs....

It's that spidery time of year....and the meadow was draped in lacy, dewy webs this morning.
I picked up a new Fuji camera body....the X-T3. Improvements include faster tracking subject lock-on. This shot was taken with the new camera....I'm impressed with the colors and light handling, but will have to wait to check out the tracking.

Spiny Softshell Turtle

I see this big 'ole fellow sunning at OLD Reid Park occasionally, but have never seen his neck extended so much.

Strawberry Moon

I have so much fun shooting moon pics with the Fuji XT-20!
One of the functions is a double exposure, and I've spent a lot of time refining the use of it for moon and cloud images.
When you use he double exposure feature, you can select different settings for the two images. In the image below, I set my first exposure for Multi exposure to capture the pine boughs. This overexposed the moon. For the second image, I changed to spot metering and metered on the moon.

I used a similar technique for this image.
