I was on my way home from work this morning and happened to take a diversion to Buck Creek Lane. We had an April snow during the night, and though I didn't think that the snow would last too long with the warming sun, I was hoping to see some wildlife with the snowy backdrop.
Just off of Rt 54, I sighted a gang of Turkeys parading and sparring. I pulled off of the road, and was pleasantly surprised when they continued their activities. It appeared that there were two willing hens, and the toms and jakes were vying for their rights. This tom was in full display, and he eventually bred the hen.
